Susan Staley is a clinical herbalist with a focus on relationship to food and nourishment in today’s world. Her work is informed by the human experience, traditional wisdom, contemporary literature, and of course, the earth. Tea is Susan’s absolute favorite way to share and work with herbs. She believes tea can change a person’s life. With over 10 years of clinical experience, she began formal study of herbs and plant medicine in 2009 and nutrition in 2004. She is a founder of Railyard Apothecary in Burlington, VT. Susan lives outside of Portland, ME with her husband and toddler. She has a love for the ancient world and days past, eating with loved ones, being outside and the wisdom of the human heart. You can find her improving her meal prep skills, trying to make time to paint and washing dishes. Susan hopes to build a hoop house for winter greens and help increase interest and accessibility of herbs in her community.
